Basics
- Must be at least 18
- Must be at least 21 to travel out of state
- Pass vision test
- Pass the written exam
Documents
- Have a doctor approved by the FMCSA complete the Medical examiner’s certificate
- Self-Certify
- Have a medical paper with you
- Submit driving record check (past 10 years of every state)
Payments
- Commercial Learner’s permit (including skills test fees) $90
- Commercial driver’s license $50
- Skills retest $20
