Basics

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be at least 21 to travel out of state
  • Must be at least 21 to transport hazardous materials and passengers
  • 16 years of age may test for a CDL restricted to custom harvesting operations only
  • Read, write, and speak English
  • Pass knowledge tests and CLP
  • Pass an eye examination
  • Pass road test

Documents

  • Must meet all federal Medical Requirements
  • Current and valid driver’s license
  • Proof of legal presence
  • Proof of residence address
  • Certify that you are in agreement with state motor carrier safety regulations
  • Proof of identification

Payments

  • Knowledge test $5 per attempt
  • CDL permit $15 ($20 for non-domiciled)
  • Standard CDL $15
  • Endorsements $3
  • Road Test $5
