Basics
- Must be at least 18 to apply for an intrastate CDL
- Must be at least 21 to travel out of state
- Pass vision test
- Pass road test

- Provide a valid driver’s license from Colorado or another state
- Provide DOT medical card
- Proof of legal presence
- Proof of Colorado residency
- Social Security card
- Commercial drive skill test completion
- Provide DOT medical card
- Submit a review of your driving record
