Basics

  • Must be at least 18 to apply for an intrastate CDL
  • Must be at least 21 to travel out of state
  • Must be at least 21 to transport hazardous materials

Documents

  • Have a Class D license for at least 1 year and in good standing
  • Possess a social security card
  • Be able to show proof of insurance
  • Pass a 10-year background check
  • Pass TSA screening
  • Pass medical examination
  • Pass a periodic drug test

Payments

  • CDL A & B $70
  • CDL C $41
