Basics
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be at least 21 to travel out of state
- Must be at least 21 to transport hazardous materials and passengers
- Pass vision test
- Pass color blindness test
Documents
- Proof of status as a U.S citizen or lawful permanent resident
- A medical exam must be performed by a certified medical examiner
- Must hold a valid operator’s license for at least two years, with no suspensions or revocations
- You must bring a Social Security card and your Rhode Island driver’s license
