Basics
- At least 18 years old
- Must be at least 21 to travel out of state
- Have at least 1 year of driving experience
- Live in Delaware full-time
- Driver must be physically qualified to operate a CMV according to FMCSA guidelines
Documents
- Must self certify their driving status in the Self Certification Category Guide
- Copy of Medical certificate (DOT)

- Learner’s permit $5
- CDL A 5 years $30
- CDL A 8 years $48
