Basics

  • At least 18 years old
  • Must be at least 21 to travel out of state
  • Have at least 1 year of driving experience
  • Live in Delaware full-time
  • Driver must be physically qualified to operate a CMV according to FMCSA guidelines

Documents

  • Must self certify their driving status in the Self Certification Category Guide
  • Copy of Medical certificate (DOT)

Payments

  • Learner’s permit $5
  • CDL A 5 years $30
  • CDL A 8 years $48
