Basics
- Must be at least 18
- Must be at least 21 to travel out of state
- Be on time for the knowledge test or it will be canceled
Documents
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Social Security Card
- Proof of Mississippi residency
- Non-U.S citizens must present valid immigration papers including a birth certificate, passport, proof of legal presence, and two proofs of residence
- Provide Medical examiner’s certificates that are valid for a max of 2 years
Payments
- CDL Learner’s permit $13
- CDL application fee $25
- CDL license valid for 4 years $41
- Endorsement $5 each
- Hazardous material background check $100
