Basics
- Must be at least 18 to apply for an intrastate CDL
- Must be at least 21 to travel out of state
- Must be at least 21 to transport hazardous materials
- Pass Skills Exam
- Confirm your physical fitness
Documents
- Valid Idaho State license
- Proof of lawful, permanent residency in the U.S
- Obtain CDL permit
Payments
- Written tests are $3 each
- Skills test max fee of $200
- Commercial learner’s permit $29
- Commercial driver’s license $40
