Basics
- Must be at least 18 to apply for an intrastate CDL
- Must be at least 21 to travel out of state
Disqualifications
- Inability to make the necessary certification contained on the CDL certification form
- Having a license from more than one state
- A current suspension, revocation, denial, or consolation of your license
- Conviction of 6-point in 24 months immediately preceding application
- Conviction of DUI in 24 months immediately preceding application
- A suspension or revocation in the 26 months immediately preceding the application
- Failure to appear in court, failure to comply with a judgment, failure to appear for re-examination
