Basics
- Must be at least 18 to apply for an intrastate CDL
- Must be at least 21 to travel out of state
- Must be at least 21 to transport hazardous materials
Documents
- Proof of Identity
- Social Security Number
- Proof of Nevada residency
- Must list all states where you held any commercial or non-commercial driver’s license in the past 10 years
- Driving history in each state checked
- Pass DOT medical examination
- Certified medical examiners certificate

- CDL that requires knowledge and skill test $142.25
- Instruction Permit $58.25
- Endorsements are $18 each
- Adding or removing endorsement or restriction $31
- CDL renewal that required knowledge test only $112.25
- Driving skills test $34.25
