Basics
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be at least 21 to travel out of state
- Must be at least 21 to transport hazardous materials and passengers
- Must not have more than one driver’s license
- Driving privileges must not be suspended, revoked, canceled, or disqualified in Oklahoma or any other state
- Pass a set of written exams
- Must be able to speak and read the English language
Documents
- Must meet the medical requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Provide citizenship in the state and have permission to work in the US
- Social security card, a birth certificate, or a green card
