How to Get Your CDL in Alabama

Basics

  • At least 18 years of age
  • At least 21 years old out of state
  • At least 21 years old to transport hazardous materials and transport passengers

Documentation

  • Possess a valid Alabama Commercial Learner's permit
  • Possess a valid Alabama Class D Driver's License
  • Possess D.O.T
